AKASHA GUESTS COMMENTS
WOW! Words cannot express the absolutely delightful time we have had with you this week!
From the first moment we boarded Akasha, it has been a magical week! Harvey, you are so witty & wise, and have foreseen our needs before we even knew them ourselves. You are the perfect charming, capable, handsome Captain we would expect in a Hollywood production, because you are definitely a Superstar! Cara, the food was delicious and so beautifully presented! You should have a culinary cruise option with cooking lessons by famous, beautiful Cara! And of course, you do it all Cara! We are so appreciative of your excellent SCUBA instruction and Open Water dive certification for 6 people! They all loved it, and love you! The ship wreck was the icing on the cake! Yowza! Tiago, your entertaining skills were so fun, and we especially appreciate you taking Trevor tubing and snorkelling – his favourite part of the trip! You and Priya took such great care of us all and especially all our boys! Incredible!! Miss Priya, the Akasha sparkles and shines thanks to you, and the table settings look like a magazine spread! Thank you for keeping us all tidy and well-fed. We hope to be back aboard the Akasha, and thank you again for being so good to us! Much love Victor and Kimberly.
Akasha crew is the absolute best! This has been a dream vacation, and most of that is because of the amazing service from all of you. You were always so attentive to our every need, and full of smiles J . We have found our home in The BVIs for sure! It was an unforgettable week! Thank you! Cheryl.
24th – 30th June 2013 Malish Charter…
Harvey is a prince of a captain. His charm and calm but respectful demeanour with the guests and crew was appreciated, while there was never a doubt who was in control. His contact before the cruise was exceptional and his daily briefings excellent and covered all wants and desires of our family. We could not have found a better captain!!!
Cara was exceptionally charismatic to be with, but her culinary creations made it difficult for her to interact as much as we would have liked. The meals she served were a surprise and delight for all of us, including special requests. Harvey is lucky to have her as a member of his crew and his mate.
Mr T (Tiago) was great with water sports, and the kids appreciated his instructions. A very personable young man with a positive future, and an asset to the team. He had a willingness to interact with all of us.
P (Priya) was a delight. She started each day with a warm and welcoming greeting. She constantly was there to answer any need we may have had. Her message each night helped us end each day on a positive note. She is intelligent, and with her personality, will succeed in whatever she attempts in life.
The crew made us feel comfortable on this fantastic boat in this incredible place. We had a fantabulous time and would welcome the time to share our experiences and recommend them highly. We do not want to leave!!!!! Cec and Terry

Thank you for a fantastic experience. David and I have had the best time ever – our every wish seemed to be your command! The ship is extraordinary, food – the best, and friendship wonderful. Sydney The Akasha crew are not only visually attractive and appealing, they are delightful and diligent workers as well. They exemplify the perfect example of brilliant leadership and teamwork! They operate like a well-oiled machine. Captain Harvey has an intoxicating sense of humour with a quick wit and subtle charm. Coupled with those qualities he is timely, efficient, organized, gracious and astute. He serves his guests with confidence and skill, and he leads his crew in the same manner. Cara is a fantastic chef with a delightful presence and personality. Before each meal she would take the time to inform us of the food we would be eating and even answered questions that were posed to her i.e…(ingredients, recipes etc). She was sensitive to each of our food likes/dislikes and all portion size requests. Her bread was ‘to die for’. Chef Cara even took the time to sit and share some personal stories with us. She is great. Priya (P) is a beautiful, charming young lady who is poised, elegant, dignified, welcoming and warm. She exudes self-confidence packaged in a humble spirit. P is a diligent worker and went above and beyond to ensure we had clean rooms each day and night. She personalized our stay with a truffle and meaningful quote each day. Constantly ‘checking in’ she attempted to provide us with a beverage, snack or towel any time one might be needed. Beautiful inside and out this young lady is a treasured gem! Tiago (T) is a handsome young man with a winning smile and eager and willing spirit. A man of ‘many tasks’ he kept busy not only serving us, but also attending to his Captains requests and needs. He added to our enjoyable experience as we watched him ‘having fun’ doing his job. Honestly – the Akasha crew exemplifies the meaning of teamwork. However, it takes more than these skills to tend to a boat and its passengers…… it also takes personal relation skills, and a passion for people and providing them service…Akasha’s crew ‘has it all!!’ Maria PS Cara just made us grilled ham and cheese sandwiches for a pre-dinner snack. She did this because she overheard us say that we would like some. She rocks! AND P made us chocolate martinis for the same reason! Star!
Words leave me – the week has been light years beyond our dreams for our 1st anniversary with family and friends. 5 star restaurants have nothing on Cara. Charlie and I are huge ‘foodies’ – we cook for entertainment, or we did. Not sure we can do that after eating Rabbits marvellous cooking. Charlie and David are huge sailors, but they are awed by Harvey’s skill, humor and attention to detail! Priya and Tiago must be from another planet. They are kind beyond measure, are professional in every manner and taught most of us new skills from paddle board to sunfish to water skis! Priya’s tablescapes rival the television shows; Tiago’s tenacity with the fishing poles are unparalled. We hope that Harvey and Cara are half as happy in their upcoming marriage as Charlie and I have been: they have an amazing partnership on the water. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime and becoming family to each of us. Carol How blessed to have us live in your home and become part of your family. While all The BVI is beautiful, and you have displayed it well, the real treat is the warmth and togetherness you have enveloped us with. If we are not your favourite guests we are certainly not aware of that. We can only return the love. Charlie Easily the most fulfilling vacation we have been blessed to enjoy. From the first greeting at Beef Island Airport and with each waking moment Captain Harvey entertained, waited upon, shared with and engaged all of us with such British Pride. A true gentleman, scholar, sailor with just a touch of scoundrel, all rolled into one. Cara – while your daily offerings were well beyond my usual experience, all were enjoyed and totally consumed by me. The culinary experience while on this vessel has expanded my horizons and will act as a springboard for future food and drink experiences. T – You have been such a pleasure for me on this trip. You are the kind of man any father would be pleased to acknowledge as his own. Dedicated, hard working, polite, warm and maintaining a young sense of adventure. You will always do well in life with your attributes. P – Lovely, warm, sincere, smart, engaging, thoughtful… There are so many positive words beyond my grasp to describe our experience with you. As with T, any father would stick his chest out very far in pride to say you were his, dear P… Thank you all for such a positive adventure. With Gods blessings, Skip & Shann
What a time blessing to have spent a dream week with the four of you. Your jobs as crew of such a magnificent vessel comes easy to all four. Your superlative service has blown us away as the wind blows the sails. Four of the most worldly and talented people all in one package. God created this lovely place and the crew of Akasha made our vacation. We shall cherish the journey we took forever. Brian Akasha by Maria Out in the Caribbean on the waters of BVI, sailed a cat by the name of Akasha, with a mast 100 feet high. Her crew led by good Captain Harvey, was as sharp and as keen as they come, serving guests with fine food and great service, and occasional glasses of rum. First there was P and Tiago, who served as the deckhands on board, and then there was beautiful ‘Rabbit’ the chef who was truly adored. Akasha ran coolly and smoothly, thanks to the skill of it’s crew, a well oiled machine at its finest, a task that’s not easy to do. And then one day in the springtime, in fact in the warm month of May, a group of nine Texans allowed them, to take them sailing away. They boarded Akasha with smiles, adventure and thrill in their souls, as the sails extended up skyward, their joy like the sea billows rolled. These Texans shall always remember, as they disembark saying ‘farewell,’ the joy and the fun of Akasha, and the stories they’ll all live to tell. Maria.
Family from U.S.A Grenadines, May 2013
Thanks to all. Our 4th week on Akasha. As always our favourite family trip of the year! West Indies was new. Probably the best diving and snorkelling…. Still a BVI guy…. Capt Harvey/Cara/Tiago/Priya were outstanding. Really looking forward to the next week. Love Mike.
Thank you for an amazing trip! This is our favourite family trip we take, and we look forward to it every year! Thank you Captain Harvey for the wonderful sails and picturesque destinations. Thank you Cara for the outstanding food and presentations. I can’t forget to say thanks to Tiago and Priya for the great talks we had ‘oftenly’ and allowing me to write ‘love notes’ with bananas! Awesome trip! Love Chris Simpson. PS Love that hot sauce.
Clearly we are big fans of this amazing boat/trip, this being our third year! The islands were new to all of us this time and Harvey navigated through them all (the mall J) like a pro. Cara’s cooking was superb and I loved her descriptions every day. Tiago showed us his excellent snorkelling/swimming skills and Priya left us touching little love notes each night which was so nice. Chris and I have kept our notes from each Akasha trip and we keep them in our bedside drawer. Overall my favourite part was the last night when we had dinner with the crew at Sugar Beach and played the bowl game on the boat, so much fun bonding with this amazing crew! Don’t forget to scooch the gooch and dream to dream J Love always Meghan
Thank you so much for another great family trip! We had such a great time with the new crew and loved the new destination. Harvey took such good care of our family and running the boat. He is also a funny chap and made us laugh often. Cara, thank you for the fabulous meals. Priya and Tiago so sweet, really enjoyed both of you and thank you for all the hard work taking care of us. Love, health, happiness to you all. Xoxo Robin

Absolutely the Best! The islands, weather and the crew were outstanding! 5 days in paradise that will never be forgotten. The Akasha is a wonderful vessel. Thank you so very much for such a fantastic, relaxing week aboard Akasha.
In Alfie’s words the food was ‘the best ever’ (we thought so too!)
You guys are all so great with the children they had a brill week. They loved playing with all Akasha’s toys. We really needed another week to do everything.
Thank you for teaching Charlie to SCUBA. We can see this becoming a big passion. Shame it is so cold in the English Channel!! Alfie will soon be wanting to learn, but was pleased to see so many ‘ish’ with his snorkel and mask.
It was great to be back and we certainly hope to come again soon!
All the best

January Corporate Charter BVI …Broker Feedback
Corporate Charter in the BVI….feedback from Broker…..
This year we chartered six yachts with a total of 51 guests and 34 crewmembers. I am happy to report that the 2013 charter was extremely successful and, after fourteen consecutive programs involving yacht charters, this one was possibly the best yet according to many of the repeat guests. As always the success is due primarily to the attitudes, efforts and execution by the captains and crews of all the yachts. A great deal of coordination, cooperation and willingness to help on all fronts was shown by all the crews and especially Harvey and his crew on Akasha.
Akasha was chosen as the yacht the lead charterer and I would be aboard and this placed additional pressure on the crew. They handled the duties with a relaxed grace and professionalism that fit the requirements perfectly. They were able to balance the needs of all their guests without missing a beat.
This charter places a great emphasis on dining with guests being able to have dinner aboard a number of different yachts during the charter. It is particularly noted that the guests on all the yachts had special praise for the meal service on Akasha and for Cara’s talents.
Harvey’s and the whole crew’s cooperation was a big help and very much appreciated. I will be pleased to provide positive references and recommendations for the yacht and the crew. We will be pleased to have Akasha, Harvey & his crew on future charters for these and any other clients.

Thanks for a great trip, it’s one I won’t soon forget. The service was superb, and I thank Rabbit for providing delicious meals with such limits on her. Let us know if you are ever in NW USA.
What a pleasure to see two worlds at once, the islands and the ocean, all while being treated like royalty. For a brief while I will have the treats on our bed to remind me of how good Rabbits’ cooking was and photos and video recalling the wonderful dives Kim and CJ took us on. From now on I will seek to have some of Harveys unending patience and good humor at every tribulation coming his way. Thank you
Thanks for a great week of SCUBA, gluten free delicacies, sailing, and stories from South Africa, Thailand et al. Have a great year ahead.
Many thoughts but few words. You took great care of my family. I am sure we will all have fond memories. We will tell stories long into the future. Take great care in the future.
What an amazing week, thanks for all the great times you shared with us, as well as taking care of our gluten/dairy/soy free customers. I look forward to making it back in the future.
