Testimonials

LOLALITA GUESTS COMMENTS
Appelman Charter, May 2013
The trip was amazing! Lolalita is a really beautiful boat that is kept in pristine condition by Ernie, Megan and Jeff. We had a group of six and I think that was the perfect size for this boat. There was plenty of room to spread out. Ernie, Megan and Jeff were an awesome crew! Ernie had the perfect balance between being a tour guide with suggestions for daily activities and also just sitting back and letting us do our own thing. Megan is an excellent cook and did an amazing job keeping the boat looking like a 5-star hotel. She also is a really great person to hang out with and I had a lot of fun getting to know her. Jeff is just an all-around great guy. He was a patient and professional SCUBA instructor, a laid-back and fun friend on the boat and always hard at work with a smile and warm demeanor. I think the combination of this boat and crew is really special and would be great for a wide variety of groups from families with young children to people looking to party and older adults looking for relaxing vacation. I hope to spend time on the Lolalita again soon.

My new husband and I had a great time! I have only great things to say about Megan, Ernie, and Jeff. Megan is an amazing chef and photographer. I enjoyed getting to know Megan, she is a sweet lady. Ernie- Funny! We had fun with Ernie. Jeff- He was like the groups little brother. We had fun with Jeff. He has a great personality. He is a really great dive instructor and guide.
We decided to get married on the trip 4 days before we left for the trip. I bought a dress 5 hours before our flight. Ernie woke up early on Thursday of the trip and made a heart out of rocks in the sand, he gathered a palm and sea grape leaves to make my bouquet. Megan helped the girls and I get ready; she provided my something borrowed bracelet. She made the perfect wedding dessert! Jeff drove the wedding dinghy to Sandy Spit. Megan and Ernie took some beautiful pictures which I already have hanging in my home.
Overall, amazing trip with amazing people! I would love to go again some day.

Sayers Charter, March 2013
1. Was the crew friendly and accommodating?
We had the time of our lives. We felt very safe and confident with Captain Ernie – he always put our needs and requests front and foremost. Megan was wonderful, and Jeff was an asset in that we hd 2 guests that needed extra assistance.

The crew took such care of the boat and us. Our linens were changed, towels always clean and dry and everything was spic and span

4. Was the food good and well presented?
Megan really paid attention to our requests for healthy and delicious food. Her menus were well thought out and took extra care if ther was an allergy issue. Her presentation wa outstanding!

5. Did you like the area you sailed?
Beautiful! Captain Ernie made sure we saw all he highlights and we made a few of our own.

8. Additional comments on your charter?
I was very happy that we had 3 crew aboard the boat the size of Lolalita. Ernie, Megan and Jeff all contributed to ensure that we had a fun, memorable and safe trip. We were very grateful that Jeff was aboard as we had a couple of people who had physical limitations. Jeff made sure they were able to participate in snorkeling, kayaking and swimming. He accompanied people to the front and back of the boat, all with a smile and a genuine caring. You can tell that Megan loves food – we had great chats about her menus and how she prepared various dishes. Catching fish for dinner one night was amazing. Megan’s presentation was almost an art form. The other nice touches with the themed table settings, accompanying cocktails and the cocktail snacks were on par with some of he best places I have dined in the world. Ernie knows his stuff! We felt great in his care. He knew his way around the BVIs and took us to places we didn’t even know existed. In choppy seas he managed to continue a smooth sail. We recommend him to anyone.

Without a doubt all three of them bent over backwards to keep the two of us and our four legged family member happy!
~ How were your meals – were they well thought out?
Megan is a wiz, especially having to cook out of a galley kitchen.
We requested healthy low fat, low carb meals, lots of fruit and salads.
Her dressings were amazing and her cookies and crème Brule were to die for! Of course we couldn’t always eat healthy!
~ Did they meet or exceed your expectations?
Absolutely
~ What took you by surprise?
The portions, they were immense, but we also are hungry divers and asked for big portions.
~ Were the meals presented tastefully?
Every plate was beautifully presented! I have owned restaurants and have culinary training, and I took pictures of some plates!
~ The bar beverages – was the yacht provisioned the way you requested?
Yes! Everything we requested that they could get on the Island was on board. Not to mention Ernie’s famous banana daiquiris!
~ Did you feel free to help yourself?
Yes, but we never needed to, because they were always there to serve us first.
~ Any surprise specialty drinks served?
See previous question.
~ How did you find the comfort of the yacht?
What a beautiful yacht! Everything you could want in a private charter. Especially the Hot water, Air-conditioning and separate shower and bathroom.
~ Cleanliness and Care factor
Boat was in great condition throughout the trip.
~ Overall condition of the living areas
So Comfortable!
~ Your Itinerary –did you feel you participated together with your crew?
Of course weather and wind are the driving factors, but Ernie explained from the beginning what our options were and we were in agreement.
~ What stands out in your memory of your week’s journey?
How beautiful the scenery was, how peaceful it is on the water, how sweet and accommodating Megan, Ernie and Jeff were!
~ What stands out as the WOW FACTOR of your week?
Just the peace and quiet and the beauty! The night out with Megan, Ernie and Jeff at Skinny Legs was pretty memorable.
