Yacht Description

MY Viaggio a Horizon 74ft Motor yacht is now in the British Virgin Islands, fully operational and ready to take you on a cruise you will never forget.  She is receiving rave reviews and is without doubt a very beautiful powerful Yacht designed specifically to give her guests a superb time.

Viaggio’s owners, have gone to extraordinary lengths to design a Yacht that they would like to spend time on, and have fun.  The result of their efforts is this Super High Spec Crewed Motor Yacht which blows the competition away, and by some margin.  Viaggio is ‘raising the bar’ down in the Islands as regards quality, performance, comfort and fun in the world of Motor Yacht Charter.

MY Viaggio also has some surprises onboard, she is fitted with very powerful underwater lights from mid section and all the way around the aft end. These light up the area underwater and views of sea life at night are astonishing!  She is also outfitted with 50 inch flat screen TV hooked to a sound system which will take your breath away. In fact the sound system throughout the yacht with IPOD docking stations will ensure that, if you wish to, this yacht will rock.  A full office suite is provided, fax, phone and internet is available onboard, this offers instant communication with the rest of the world should you need this.

VIAGGIO can accommodate 6 guests in 3 cabins.  The Master cabin has a queen size bed, shower and toilet.  VIP Guest cabin has a queen size bed, shares shower and toilet with the Guest Cabin.  Guest cabin has a double bed, this can be split into two singles easily.  There is full air conditioned through out.  Crew quarters are aft of the engine room and are fitted with its own amenities including separate heads and shower.

Crew Profile

Captain: Andrew Woodruff

Andrew, originally from England has been involved in sailing all his life, with over 10 years experience chartering both sail and motor yachts in the British Virgin Islands and the Caribbean waters. He will confidently take you exploring the islands and find some amazing locations not always seen by bareboat charter guests.

A sailor since his early childhood and a regular competitor in professional yacht racing, including the Americas
Cup, adds to his vast amount of yachting experience. Andy now considers the British Virgin Islands his home waters, and his love of the BVI and the Caribbean is evident with the big smile that will greet you when you arrive onboard. He is onboard to ensure each guest experiences the vacation of a lifetime.

Chef Lisa Mead
Joins Viaggio with a wealth of experience and some highly placed recommendations.
Lisa Mead trained in Queensland, Australia, where she originates from, and after qualifying, went on to cook in a variety of restaurants.

For the past 15 years, Lisa has been a Chef in Australia, the Mediterranean and Caribbean. She has created Epicurean delights on a variety of luxury yachts, 5 star villas and numerous high quality restaurants. Her wide experience in this industry is extraordinary. Lisa also spent time in Asia, where she gained valuable experience with local cuisine. Whilst in Asia Lisa also learned to speak conversational Malaysian, Indonesian & Japanese.

With glowing references from around the world, Lisa has also had the opportunity to cook for some fascinating people during her career including celebrities, Royalty and heads of State.

In her spare time, Lisa dedicates herself to her other passion as an artist, and has exhibited her paintings in galleries throughout Australia and the British Virgin Islands

First Mate & Stewardess Ashley McGowan
Ashley joined Viaggio as First Mate & Hostess in 2009 after leaving the Bitter End Yacht Club where she was Assistant Water Sports Director.

Raised in Ontario, Canada, Ashley sailed at her family’s lake cottage every summer and skied all winter. Racing the circuit at Sturgeon Lake Sailing Club where she was head instructor and race coach, Ashley climbed to an overall 17th in the infamous CORK Regatta, sailing Laser 2s.

Ashley is the true definition of a water baby and was able to swim before she could walk, so it seemed inevitable she would work on the water and already has extensive experience: She is CYA certified, a certified diver, US Sailing certified in basic keelboat sailing and is one exam away from having her BVI Boat Master License. Ashley was also the event director for the Pro-AM BEYC Regatta and enjoyed many a day teaching both adults and children to sail having been head sailing instructor in various yacht clubs around the globe. Marine biology is also a passion for Ashley, who has undertaken the catching and tagging of sea turtles, reef checks, sea grass studies and fish ID surveys.

To add to her vast repertoire, Ashley has also completed the Dale Carnegie Toastmasters of London training and having worked at a dairy back home, she mastered ice cream churning skills – with some really weird and wonderful recipes!

In her spare time, Ashley enjoys music, sports and her real passion of sailing. About working on Viaggio, Ashley says Who could ask for a better office view
